Note: Womersley & Bailey (1970)は，Griffithsia rhizophoraをG. heteromorphaの異名同種（シノニム）としましたが，G. heteromorphaとG. rhizophoraはAlgaebase他，多くの文献で別種として扱われており，日本産種についてはTitlyanov et al. (2019)が独立の種として掲載しています。本サイトでは，Itono (1977) に従い，日本産種をG. rhizophoraとしました。
